2026 BOM
In 2026, we’re going to do a sew along with Sherri McConnell of A Quilting Life.
The BOM for January is posted on the A Quilting Life website. Sherri has a good video on YouTube where she shows the completed block and explains a bit more about the program and how users can follow along. Here is the link to the BOM: https://www.aquiltinglife.com/a-quilting-life-block-of-the-month-january-2026/

2025 BOM

This year's block of the month is being designed by Cindy Shugars and consists of scrap-busting blocks! Help meet your 2025 goals of using scraps and clearing your stash by follow along. Patterns will be added each month as we go, and will be made available in Member Resources at the close of the year in case you need to catch up.

(No irons please.)
Location: Urbana Public Library
Date: January 24, 2026
Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
If you are unable to attend, but are still interested in joining a bee, please send an email to Kara at activities@clusteredspiresquiltguild.org with your general availability (weekdays/evenings/weekends).

What’s a sewing bee? A sewing bee is a social gathering of quilters where members collaborate on projects for themselves or community service. I’ll help organize members into bees, but bees will be peer-led, with members deciding collectively what to work on. This is a great way to get to know your guild-mates.

Our first bee is Sew InSpired. It includes a group of 12 members who meet monthly to sew, share ideas and stories, as well as support and motivate each other through sewing and quilting events. Group size is limited to 12 and the group meets in a member's home for each monthly meeting.  The bee is currently full. To be added to an interest list, please contact Mary Pauley at pauley.mary.ann@gmail.com.

We have a virtual "longarmers' bee" meets quarterly via Zoom. The purpose of this bee is to provide support, encouragement, and inspiration to the longarmers within the guild. Contact Fran Scher at fmkess@gmail.com if interested in joining.
