Sewing Bees
The Activities Committee is helping to organize members into new Sewing Bees. To kick us off, the activities committee is hosting an Informational meet-up on January 24th.
What’s a sewing bee? A sewing bee is a social gathering of quilters where members collaborate on projects for themselves or community service. I’ll help organize members into bees, but bees will be peer-led, with members deciding collectively what to work on. This is a great way to get to know your guild-mates.
Our first bee is Sew InSpired. It includes a group of 12 members who meet monthly to sew, share ideas and stories, as well as support and motivate each other through sewing and quilting events. Group size is limited to 12 and the group meets in a member's home for each monthly meeting. The bee is currently full. To be added to an interest list, please contact Mary Pauley at pauley.mary.ann@gmail.com.
We have a virtual "longarmers' bee" meets quarterly via Zoom. The purpose of this bee is to provide support, encouragement, and inspiration to the longarmers within the guild. Contact Fran Scher at fmkess@gmail.com if interested in joining.
